Festival

Yes, I know we're late posting today, but we were at the preview at Festival last night and we didn't get in til way past this bear's bedtime.

I know we go to Festival for ll kinds of quily stuff, but there is a booth there, Tea in Texas that is fabulous.  Not only do they publish the quarterly cultural travel magazine, TEAinTEXAS, but they also blend their own Texas-themed teas and have a variety of tea accessories.

Look what I got from that booth.   I got 4 different loose teas, a stump pot, a tea cozy and lots of other cool stuff.  Go by and check them out in booth 863.

Bear Thread Designs at Festival

Well it's here.  Quilt Festival has finally arrived and we're geared up and ready to go.  Veronica and her daughter Michelle worked all day on Tuesday to get the booth set up.

There are lots of great new patterns such as Amy Bradley's designs.  Sweet Seasons had a new quilt pattern.

There are lots of retired patterns, so you know what that means, once they are gone, they are gone!

Veronica has Pine Needle patterns by McKenna Ryan at 20% off.  Come by our booth to see us.  We're ni booth 1802 and 1804.  Come by just to say hi if you;d like.  See you there.

Breaking News

Hot off the press!!!  Bear Thread Designs, Inc. is now the new owner of the Rocky Mountain Quilt Festival that has been held in Loveland, Colorado since 2008.  We are working to get a website up and running.  We are working on our teaching schedule and vendors.  This happened very fast for us and we've hit the ground running.  We re working on our contracts and hopefully we will be getting those out as quickly as we can.  We do have International Quilt Festival this week and a cruise next week, but we will be working on our Colorado show on our "off" minutes everyday.  Stay tuned for more information.

Quilt Market 2014

Wow what a great Quilt Market we had in Houston.  We met lots of people, saw lots of great quilts and patterns.  We bought tons and tons of fabric.  We walked and walked and walked some more. Veronica took lots of Advil and kept on going.  We hung out with Mattie and Steve of Quiltsmart. We checked out the new Pine Needles patterns.  We met a few new authors and in general had a great time.  We hung out with Jennifer from Jennifer Jangles and bought some of her patterns for our booth at Festival next week.  Come by our booth and check out all the great stuff we bought.

International Quilt Market

It's that time of year again.  We're getting ready for Market in Houston, Texas.  We took our friend Mattie from Quiltsmart to set up today.  Geez, such crabby workers in the parking lot.  Apparently he was not a quilter!  They tell you where to park and give you 10 minutes to unload.  Do they know how much stuff we have?  We've got quilts and boxes of patterns and grids to hang the patterns on and tables and drawers and poles and our "junk" food for the week.  Do they really think we can unload all of that in 10 minutes?  Well we finally got that done, then Veronica and I were off to deliver grids to another friend who is setting up tomorrow.  We didn't know her booth number and didn't have a name tag to get in to try to find her booth.  We just went to her house, that was so much easier.  We will get to go shopping on Saturday and hopefully we'll find lots of great things.  We'll keep you updated!
